Four years ago we were two friends with a passion for power yoga. When we found that there were no dedicated power yoga studios in London we thought to ourselves “Why not open our own little power yoga haven?”
And so we embarked on a journey that has brought us and PYC Studios to where we are today. There were highs and there were lows, there were fears and uncertainties, but most of all there was excitement and enthusiasm to start something we truly believed in. Through it all, our practice of yoga kept us going, reminding us to put any negative thoughts aside and sometimes just take a leap of faith.
Today PYC Studios is a successful studio, among the big ones in London, with regular and loyal students as well as new members joining every day. We’re really proud that, as the studio has grown, we’ve managed to stay true to our founding principles: to develop a friendly, welcoming, boutique-style yoga studio, firmly rooted in the community it serves - a yoga studio that’s home to some of the finest teachers around.
Our studio has evolved and will continue to change in the months and years ahead. One of the ways we want to communicate those changes to you is using this blog. We’ll tell you about our plans for the future, share hints and tips on how to improve your practice and throw in the odd pearl of wisdom that we’ve read or heard.
Our teachers will be posting their thoughts too and we’d love you to post yours - on whatever inspires you, whether it’s yoga, the weather, life, the universe, everything and anything.
