Who it's for

Is this for you?

You’ll thrive here if you have at least two years of regular Power Yoga practice, or a relevant movement background such as dance or gymnastics. You do not need to arrive with advanced inversions or arm balances. Those skills are developed during the training. What matters more is consistency, curiosity and a willingness to learn, practise and receive feedback.

Some students come knowing they want to teach. Others come to deepen their practice and discover their teaching voice along the way. Both are welcome. If you’re unsure whether your experience is suitable, book a call and we’ll talk it through.

Good to know

Training questions, answered.

Power Yoga, a vinyasa style originating from Ashtanga, where movement is linked to breath.
No, but you can start on the recommended reading list if you'd like.
We're used to this: over six months, most people miss at least one session, and it's rarely a problem as long as you keep up with the course overall. The Tuesday evening theory sessions are livestreamed and recorded, with the recording posted to the classroom the next day. Missing an in-studio weekend is handled case by case, depending on what you've missed: where possible we can livestream or record that session for you, and we can also help you catch up with a 1:1 session using your mentoring credits.
There are no formal exams. To graduate, you'll need to complete all required training hours; if you miss a session, we'll ask you to catch up with the recording where available, and send a short photo or video confirmation so we know the work has been completed. The anatomy assessment is open book, though you do need to pass it, and your essay isn't graded formally. You'll receive feedback through a short discussion or by email. You'll also teach one final class, either in front of the group during the final module or one-to-one with a teacher afterwards. It can be your own adapted version of the sequence, but it should show that you understand the postures, the breath, and the key teaching principles you've developed throughout the training.
PYC doesn't offer community classes at the moment, but depending on your level, you may be offered cover opportunities or classes after the training.
Due to the limited availability of spaces in the PYC Teacher Training Programme, no refunds will be issued except in cases of medical necessity. In such cases, a full refund will be provided, minus the £200 admin fee.
