Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026.

This policy explains how PYC Studios (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage and tracking pixels, on pyc-studios.com. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website places on your device so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Related technologies do similar jobs: local storage keeps data in your browser rather than sending it back with every request, and a pixel is a tiny piece of code that reports activity back to a third party. Where this policy says “cookies”, it covers all of these.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

These make the site work and cannot be switched off. When you accept or decline our cookie notice we record that choice in your browser’s local storage under the key pyc-cookie-consent, which is what stops the banner reappearing on every page. It is not sent to us and contains nothing that identifies you. Our site also runs on WordPress, which sets cookies only when someone signs in to administer the site; ordinary visitors browsing the public pages are not given them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive, and where they run into difficulty. This helps us improve the site. Google sets its own cookies for this and processes the data as described in Google’s privacy documentation. Depending on your settings, some of this data may be transferred outside the UK.

Advertising and social media

We use the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) so we can measure how our advertising performs and show relevant adverts to people who have visited our site. Meta sets its own cookies for this and may combine what it collects here with information held on your Meta account.

Booking, timetable and gift cards

Our class timetable, workshop and private-session bookings, gift cards and account sign-in are provided by Momence, and are embedded on our Schedule, Workshops, Gift Cards, Private Classes and Teacher Training pages. When one of those embeds loads, or when you follow a link into your Momence account, Momence may set its own cookies to run the booking process, keep you signed in, and measure how its booking tools are used. Those cookies are controlled by Momence, not by us, and are governed by Momence’s own privacy and cookie notices.

Typical cookies set

Names and lifetimes are set by the third parties concerned and can change without notice, so treat this as a guide rather than an exhaustive list.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies specifically, which will stop the analytics and advertising cookies described above. To reset your choice on our notice, clear this site’s data for pyc-studios.com and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on, and you can adjust advert personalisation in your Meta account settings.

Blocking strictly necessary items may stop parts of the site working, in particular the booking and timetable embeds.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a tool that uses cookies we will update this page. Please check back occasionally for the current position.
